Filip Pinczewski

The Piotr Kler Foundation scholarship holder approached the task of performing the music of this unmatched contrapuntist with great respect, yet still clearly managing to put his whole heart and soul into the recording.

Filip Pinczewski

Filip was born in 1993 in Kalisz. A graduate of the Jadwiga Kaliszewska Secondary Music School in Poznań, he is currently studying piano under Professor Manfred Wagner-Artzt and composition under Professor Reinhard Karger at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna.

He is a laureate of many composition and piano competitions. His achievements include: Special Prize at the Warsaw Music Forum, 2nd place at the W. Landowska International Composition Competition in Warsaw, as well as the “Distinguished Musician” prestigious accolade at the international IBLA Grand Prize competition in Italy. 

His interpretations and performances can be heard in many countries across Europe, including: Spain, Norway, Iceland, Malta, Latvia, Hungary, Italy, Austria and Germany.

His repertoire encompasses works ranging from the Baroque to contemporary music, and chamber music is an important part of his concert activities in addition to solo piano music.

He performs his own compositions, but has also participated in the first performances of the latest works by contemporary composers, including works dedicated to him.

Filip is a young pianist and composer who has co-initiated two series of spectacular concerts in Greater Poland: “Let us be open to new music” and “Students’ Music Quarters”.
